I echo Carlos Whitaker’s post today.

This event is heartbreaking. It should be something life-altering and paradigm-shifting for our souls, yet I will most likely treat it like a second-hand story or myth.

Too much pain for me to mentally absorb.

The full story is here.

78 killed. Hundreds wounded. Worshipping God.

Forget the questions of why God allowed and continues to allow this to happen. We aren’t God, so we don’t get it. Wrong questions. Better question is: How do we respond with grace? How do we lay down our lives literally and figuratively for the glory of our Creator?

Don’t just be thankful it wasn’t you, be of the knowledge that this world isn’t all there is…. And that an assortment of seemingly awful things CAN and WILL be used to bring God glory.
